MAP for Nonprofits
MAP unleashes the power of the nonprofit sector in the community by increasing the capacity of individual nonprofit organizations to achieve their missions and providing leadership for the effective management of the sector.
Envisioning Healthy, Vibrant Communities
We envision healthy and vibrant communities in which effective and sustainable nonprofit organizations achieve their mission-driven results.
Our Values
Since 1979, MAP for Nonprofits has provided quality management consulting and board recruitment services to thousands of nonprofit groups. MAP for Nonprofits primarily works with nonprofit organizations in the Greater Twin Cities Metropolitan Area of Minneapolis and St. Paul, Minnesota. (Please visit National Sites Links if you are outside the state of Minnesota.)
MAP's services include accounting, board recruitment and development, legal services, mergers, technology services, strategic planning, financial services, marketing and communications planning and fundraising planning.
Most services are provided by MAP staff, but we also employ a network of reliable, experienced nonprofit management consultants, who agree to work with our clients at discounted rates. We also use management volunteers in some areas, carefully matching their skills to identified achievable roles in certain projects. With larger projects, we sometimes tap top community leaders to play specialized expert roles, serving as advisors. By using a combination of staff, consultants and volunteers, we are able to provide valued-added quality services at affordable rates.
